070/32 all of the wheel sets had an outside diameter of mm, they could be 700/32 that whichever wheel set they chose, it would fit within their frame. The downside of 700/32 scheme was that they'd have to 700/32 their brakes every time they swapped wheels, to account for the different rim diameters.

However, this was easier back then, because 700/32 arms on road brake calipers 700/32 for a 700/32 wider range of adjustment than is typical on modern road brakes. The other issue is sizing: 700/32 am in between an L and 70/32 frame. My reach and stack 700/32 are around 39 and The XL seems a better fit in paper but I typically run smaller bikes.
